2000 card small

We really had a hard time getting this one right. We shot three separate rolls of film to make sure the exposure and the poses were right. And the color turned out kind of funky. We had lights all over the place, and it was hard to get a shot without distracting reflections.

Did you figure out what the song on the wall is?

Well, it's not normally written in 5/4 and 4/4 time. The opening line of Mildred and Patricia Hill's famous song, "Good Morning to You," is usually written in a fast 3/4 time. And the lyrics usually used are "Happy birthday to you."

Why was the song rewritten in 5/4 and 4/4 time? Because in the year 2000, Roger and Tina turned 54 and 44. Maybe that was just too convoluted to be clever.

The painting is on the wall of our basement.

Here's a card pose we didn't use, and we're not sure when it was taken. The photographer was a professional Tina was working with at the time, Sal Skog. She took this for us at the Minneapolis Hilton hotel.
